Jill, all of you are in our thoughts at this time. After I talked with your dear, sweet Joel last night I felt the end of a beautiful life was near . . . Alice touched so many lives, always with a welcoming concern for our comfort and care; she will long be remembered for the wonderful family she loved and nurtured . . . her own and her church family. Please tell Tommy he is especially in our hearts as he mourns the loss of the love of his life. -- Rita & Charles

Oh, Jill,
I am just now catching up on your blogs which have me crying tears of sorrow, joy and love. It seems like so little time ago that I first met your folks at Feast right when they moved here. And now Alice is at the Great Feast having been accompanied right up to the door of that Mansion by her loving family. My love and prayers are with you in this profound loss. Sue Westfall

I am reading this beautiful blog with tears coming down my face but also with a smile on my face. I remember so many things about Attee. I can hear her voice saying my name right now. How lucky she was to have so many friends and such a loving family. Most importantly, how lucky she was to have Uncle Tommy. Not all of us are blessed with sharing a life with one they truly love and who truly loves us back. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you maneuver through these first difficult days without Alice. I am so sorry for all of you. It is an unfathomable loss.

Sorry to hear about your mother. I moved last October into the Walker across the street from where you once lived. My greatest regret is that your parents were never my neighbors. But, I count it among my greatest joys to have known your mother and father.

Our prayers are with you in these days after the services when it is hard to figure out how to re-enter your own life after such a significant death. Yet, because Christ lives, you too can live, as you know Alice lives. We are grateful to have known her and been blessed by her life. Love to Tommy and everyone.
